I had limited expectations when I purchased this rise due to the low cost. I have friends and family that are always interested in archery, so I thought I would find an inexpensive riser to stick on some of the extra limbs around the house that my wife and I had graduated up from. If someone was curious, there would be an extra bow around for them to try out.
when I received the riser, I was surprised at how light it was. The paint finish is pretty decent, although you can see minor machining flaws. I'm not to worried for what I paid for it. it also came with its own soft case. A big surprize for a starter riser. there are also tools for adjusting tiller. There is no lateral adjustment on the ILF limb pockets.
I put on some 36 lb Kinetic Kosmo limbs, Avalon Tyro stabilizer set, SF plunger, Cartel Super rest, Krossen Scorpion sight, and a string and took it to the shop to shoot a few arrows. The entire setup was noticeably light so I was worried it would be hard to hold stable, but it held and fired very well.
Over all I am impressed. If you are wanting to give archery a go, but don't want to invest too much, you would be served well with this riser. It is ILF compatible so you can upgrade limbs as you gain shooting strength. Kevin Svennes on 12th Feb 2018
I wanted something cheap and cheerful for bare bow shooting, so I choose the Core Air. I'd read somewhere that the max limb weight recommended is 30 lbs. Not sure if this is true? I shot the bow with 30 lb limbs and was impressed. For the money, this riser should be considered. The ILF limb fit feels a little loose until the bow is strung but that is just the way this riser works. The paint finish is a bit ropey. Mine looks like dust got into the mix around the grip. So if you want perfection you may want to spend more. The tiller is factory set to give a positive tiller on the top limb, that's a 3/8 inch greater distance on the top so there should be no need to adjust anything. David Hugh Nicholson on 12th Jan 2018
Incredibly low price (currently just £60).
Very low mass for a 25" riser (mine weighed in at just 890g).
Very forgiving with low vibration (no need for any dampers).
Good paint finish (mine is a glossy post-office red).
Split-pin tiller/alignment mechanism locks down firmly.
Cut-outs mean the low mass is not a disadvantage in windy conditions.
Compatible with Hoyt (GMX) grips.
Limb tiller/alignment adjustments are not independent. (But how often do you change these?)
Finish of the casting is not perfect - some very small lumps and bumps on the edge of the limb pockets - but of only cosmetic concern.
Limbs don't fit with a positive 'click' and are a little loose when unstrung - but stable and perfectly aligned under tension.
The sight window is a little short, so the sight ring may become obscured by the riser at short ranges.
No bushings for back-facing stabilization.

Very happy with the low weight of this riser and absolutely love the green colour. Excellent price for what you get MrsFossil on 15th Mar 2017
