Best four weeks of the year so far:
Four week;12 hour course.
I love the archery setting with all the targets in the shooting field and the onsite shop.
The setting is pleasant;set as it is in the rural wilds of a large field near "Battle Abbey" where Harold got one in the eye from William the Conqueror.
The venue as I said is great and Colin the Tutor that day was nothing less than erudite;patient and helpfully brilliant in equal doses.
I don't usually like getting up before Noon on my Day of rest(Saturdays)but I am very glad I did.
Learning to shoot the re-curve bow and also being allowed to try in the last lesson the Longbow and Horse bow was worth getting out of bed for and I don't say that for many things trust me.
I would therefore recommend the course to anyone and everyone interested enough to be reading this and pondering if archery is for you. Please give it a go. Timothy Whitfield on 27th Jul 2016
I really enjoyed the Archery beginners course, having never tried archery before I was fairly nervous to begin with but quickly felt relaxed. Colin was a fantastic coach, very helpful and patient with myself and the other beginners. I feel I've learnt a lot from the course over the 6 weeks and would like to continue with archery and perhaps join a club in the near future. I would definitely recommend the course to anyone who is interested in learning the sport. Josie on 20th Mar 2013
